CONTEXT:
“Small Circle” is a boutique cafe in Lausanne serving drinks, baked goods and brunch. The mission of the space is to create an intuitive experience of connection between visitors and provide an area to spend quality time and build personal bonds.
PROBLEM:
During the brief, the client stated that he only had a period of 4 months between the request and project delivery due to the strict rental holidays policy. Demolition of the old construction was already executed, which gave us the opportunity to study project feasibility at the earliest stage.
SOLUTION:
Once the project study was completed, ONDE 57 delivered the floor plans and axonometry schemes. The concept outlined the principles stated by the client in the initial brief - a boutique cafe with 20 seats, serving coffee, baked goods and brunches. Shared table in the main area projects the major brand value - a safe space, where people can feel closer to the community and build a personal bond to the space through communicating with each other. The space is fully adapted to people with special needs and limited mobility.
As a result of our work, the interior design concept and brand identity were developed within 6 weeks since the request, including 5 weeks of our work and 1 week for client decision-making. Technical drawings were developed within 4 weeks since the concept was finished. The project is now in tender and construction works will start soon. We sincerely thank the client for giving us the opportunity to develop this project and for trusting us throughout the process.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE ONDE 57 TEAM FOR CREATING AN AMAZING PROJECT FOR MY CAFÉ AND FOR SUPPORTING ME THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS. I ESPECIALLY APPRECIATE HOW CAREFULLY THEY LISTENED TO MY IDEAS AND BROUGHT MY VISION TO LIFE.
